On Wednesday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja reached 200 wickets in T20 cricket.
Jadeja accomplished this feat during his team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Rajasthan Royals at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. Jadeja was CSK’s leading bowler once again in the match, taking 2/21 in four overs at a 5.20 economy rate.
This brings his IPL 2023 wicket total to six in four matches, with best bowling figures of 3/20, average of 13.83, and economy rate of 6.38. He is CSK’s second-highest wicket-taker this IPL season, trailing only Tushar Deshpande (seven wickets), and ranks fifth overall, trailing Tushar, Rashid Khan (eight wickets, Gujarat Titans), Mark Wood (nine wickets, Lucknow Super Giants), and Yuzvendra Chahal (10 wickets, Rajasthan Royals).
Jadeja has 200 wickets in 296 T20s, with an average of 30.25 and an economy rate of 7.54. In the format, his best bowling figures are 5/16. Jadeja has 51 wickets in 64 T20Is for India, with an average of 28.49 and an economy rate of 7.04. His best T20I bowling figures for India are 3/15.
