Sri Lanka reveals squad for ODI, T20I series against New Zealand

The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee named two 18-man squads for the ODI and T20I series against New Zealand on Friday.

The ODI series is especially important for Dasun Shanaka’s team because it carries ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League points.

Sri Lanka is ranked tenth in the Super League table, with 77 points. They will aim for maximum points against New Zealand in order to qualify directly for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

The ODI series begins on 25 March, while the T20I series begins on 2 April.
Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera, who had been named to both squads earlier, was withdrawn because he is still recovering from surgery on his left ankle.

Sri Lanka’s ODI squad for the New Zealand series is as follows:
