Virat Kohli’s only tour of Pakistan came as part of India’s Under-19 team during a 2006 series between the junior squads of the two nations. Led by Piyush Chawla, India triumphed in both the ODI series, winning 4-0, and the Test series, clinching a 2-0 victory. Kohli was the third-highest run-scorer in the Test series, amassing 174 runs from three innings in two matches, averaging 58, and scoring two half-centuries.
In the ODI series, Kohli accumulated 125 runs from three innings, averaging 41.66, with one half-century. This tour turned out to be Kohli’s first and last visit to Pakistan, as the two countries have not held bilateral cricketing relations since 2012-13, following Pakistan’s limited-overs series in India.
India’s last visit to Pakistan was in 2008 for the Asia Cup, and they haven’t played there since. However, Pakistan has consistently visited India for ICC events, including the 2023 ODI World Cup.
