Team India wins T20 World Cup

Team India returned to India on Thursday after being delayed in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. Upon their arrival, they visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi, reunited with their families, and then traveled to Mumbai for a special parade at Marine Drive and a celebration at Wankhede Stadium.

During the parade, Captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli proudly displayed the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy to fans lining the route. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah and Board vice president Rajiv Shukla joined the players on the celebratory bus.

Players, including Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal, wrapped themselves in the Tricolour during the jubilant procession on the Vijay Rath. Some fans even climbed trees for a better view as players waved and showcased the trophy to the enthusiastic crowd.

Rohit Sharma, along with team head coach Rahul Dravid and batsman Suryakumar Yadav, raised their clasped hands towards the sky in a gesture of triumph. The team later arrived at Wankhede Stadium for further celebrations.

In addition to his global acting career, Shah Rukh Khan is also known for owning the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.
