Priyanshu Rajawat’s dream run at the Orleans Master 2023 in France continued on Friday, as the Indian badminton player overcame Chi Yu Jen of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 21-18 in the men’s singles quarter-finals.
Rajawat will face world No. 35 Nhat Nguyen of Ireland in the BWF Super 300 badminton event semi-finals.
On Thursday, he upset top seed and world number 12 Kenta Nishimoto of Japan in the round of 16 in Orleans, France.
In two games, Priyanshu defeated Nishimoto 21-8, 21-16.
Priyanshu, who reached the Odisha Open final last year, looked to be in cruise control throughout the tournament and won in 44 minutes against world No. 61 Chi Yu Jen.
