Neeraj Chopra’s Wife, Himani Mor: A Glimpse into the Life of Tennis Star

India’s javelin throw star, Neeraj Chopra, tied the knot with Himani Mor in a private ceremony. The 27-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared pictures of the surprise wedding on social media, causing an internet storm. Before revealing the news, Chopra had kept the event a secret, making the announcement even more unexpected.

Who is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor, Chopra’s wife, is from Larsauli in Haryana. She completed her schooling at Little Angels School in Panipat. Mor earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education from Delhi University’s Miranda House. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management and Administration at McCormack Isenberg School of Management. She has also studied at Southeastern Louisiana University. Previously, Mor worked as a part-time assistant coach at Franklin Pierce University. Now, she manages the tennis team at Amherst College as a graduate assistant.

Chopra’s Social Media Announcement

Chopra shared the happy news on his social media. He posted: “I began a new chapter of my life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”

Chopra’s Historic Achievements

Neeraj Chopra made history last year by becoming only the second male athlete from post-independence India to win two Olympic medals in individual events. He claimed a Gold in Tokyo 2020 and a Silver in Paris 2024, making him the first Indian athlete to win two different Olympic medals in athletics.

Wedding Details

Chopra’s uncle, Bhim, confirmed that the wedding took place in India, but the location remains a secret. He shared that the couple has since left for their honeymoon. Mor is studying in the USA. Bhim mentioned, “Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back. I can’t tell the place where it took place. The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US. They have left the country for honeymoon and I am not aware of the places where they are going. We wanted to keep it like that.”
