MS Dhoni’s Retirement & Shocking Fan Theory on CSK’s Batting Order

MS Dhoni’s Batting position of former Chennai Super Kings captain has again become the biggest talking point in the middle of the current IPL season. Not only in the current season, but MS Dhoni has been batting low down for the last three seasons. Though he has taken a lot of criticism for it, this season is different.

The Chennai franchise started their campaign on a positive note with a victory against Mumbai Indians, but in the next two matches – they were subpar and thus lost. Now, fans are asking MS Dhoni to push himself up the order and bat higher. Actually, one fan even asserted that MS Dhoni would be batting at No. 3 in Chennai’s next match against Delhi on April 5 at the Chepauk.

QUESTION THAT LINGERS AROUND MS DHONI

Having MS Dhoni on the sunset years of his career, was recruiting a half-fit MSDhoni for the season the franchise’s wise decision? One thinks MS Dhoni should hang his boots if indeed his body simply does not allow anymore. For he cannot play in the playing XI just as a wicketkeeper.

Veteran Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara voiced the same opinion when he recently opined on MS Dhoni’s form slump. Pujara also thought MS Dhoni should push himself higher up the order.

Pujara says ‘They left it a little longer’

“They did leave it a bit late. They could have pushed harder when Jadeja and MS were out there, they could have attacked a bit sooner. But there are two ways to look at it. Had one of them got out, then things would have been different,”Pujara stated.

Chennai is presently at the seventh position in the points table with only one win from three games. The yellow army will have to shape up before things go haywire.
