Dhoni initially led CSK from the league’s inception in 2008 through to 2023, winning five IPL titles and making the franchise a force to be reckoned with. Before IPL 2024, he transferred the captaincy duties to Gaikwad. But with Gaikwad out of action, the franchise has revisited its most reliable commander.
