Odisha FC’s Defense Under Pressure
From then on, Amrinder Singh faced constant attacks. Greg Stewart intercepted a pass at the edge of the box and took a quick shot toward the bottom left corner. However, Amrinder saved it. Maclaren then tried to score from the rebound, but once again, Amrinder denied him just before halftime.
Second Half Dominance
After the break, Stewart kept pushing Odisha FC’s defense. In the 60th minute, he ran into the box and passed to Manvir Singh. Unfortunately, Manvir failed to control the ball, wasting a golden opportunity.
Decisive Moment and Winning Goal
In the 82nd minute, Dimitrios Petratos took a long-range shot, but Amrinder saved it once again. Soon after, Mourtada Fall fouled Maclaren near the penalty area. As a result, the referee gave Fall a red card, reducing Odisha FC to ten men.
Nevertheless, Petratos kept searching for the winning goal. Finally, deep into stoppage time, he struck a powerful shot from outside the box. The ball hit the bottom left corner of the net, and Amrinder couldn’t stop it. Ultimately, this goal sealed Mohun Bagan’s victory and secured their second consecutive ISL League Winners’ title.
