Miandad’s brutal statement on India’s Asia Cup stand

As the chaos surrounding the hosting rights for the Asia Cup 2023 has become the burning topic for cricket critics, former Pakistan cricket team skipper Javed Miandad has made harsh remarks on the controversy surrounding India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup due to security reasons.
A few months back, the Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) made their stance on the matter clear, saying that they wouldn’t take part in the tournament if the hosting rights remained in Pakistan’s hands. However, nothing certain has been proven till now. According to a source, one report proclaims that Pakistan will play their World Cup matches in Kolkata and Chennai.
During an episode of the Nadir Ali podcast, Miandad was asked about his opinion on India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan. He replied very bluntly, “Forget security. We believe that agar maut aani hai toh aani hai. Zindagi aur maut toh allah ke haath mein hai” (If you’re destined to die, you will die. Life and death is in the hands of the almighty). If they call us today, we will go. But they should return too. The thing is, the last time we went, but they haven’t come here since.
