Virat Kohli was dismissed for just nine runs during India’s T20 World Cup semi-final against England in Guyana on Thursday. This marks Kohli’s lowest-ever score in a T20 World Cup semi-final, contrasting with his previous records of scoring half-centuries in all three prior semi-finals he played for India.
In 2014, Kohli achieved an unbeaten 72 off 44 balls against South Africa, followed by an unbeaten 89 off 47 balls against West Indies in 2016. In the current match against England in 2022, Kohli managed a 40-ball 50 in Adelaide.
At the time of writing, India were 40/2 in the sixth over after Rishabh Pant’s dismissal.
