Israeli Government Steps In

In response to the attacks, the Israeli government has dispatched planes to evacuate its citizens from Amsterdam. The leader of the opposition, Yair Lapid, called the incident a reminder of “Europe’s darkest days” and denounced the rise of antisemitism in the region. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and other political figures have urged Dutch authorities to act swiftly and ensure the safety of the Israeli citizens targeted during the attacks. Several reports have confirmed that injuries were sustained, and the passports of some victims were stolen.

The Israeli embassy in the US has issued a statement regarding the attack, offering assistance to affected individuals and urging Dutch authorities to track down the perpetrators. Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog condemned the event, likening it to an antisemitic pogrom, and called for decisive action to prevent further violence.
