Days after a viral heated chat with KL Rahul took the internet by storm, LSG’s owner Sanjiv Goenka treated team captain KL Rahul to dinner on Monday night.
As per the pictures from the event, Goenka was hugging Rahul, which has gone viral on social media. Implying, that the duo has already sorted out their differences.
Further, this picture and Sanjiv’s Goenka’s gesture also quashes rumours of any purported rift between the two. Besides, a clip also got viral, where the two were having an animated discussion following LSG’s 10 wicket loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL last week.
Later, the assistant coach of LSG also tried to dismiss this incident, calling it a “robust discussion” in a press conference before LSG V/s DC match.
“I see no problem in a robust discussion between two cricket lovers. For us, it is a storm in a teacup. It’s not a big thing for us. “said Klusener.
In the earlier fated match, LSG witnessed a low score of 165 for 4 being blazingly chased down by SRH openers Travis Head (89 not out off 30 balls) and Abhishek Sharma (75 not out off 28) in a mere 9.4 overs.
Thus, inflicting a huge defeat on Lucknow team in Hyderabad on May 8.
As a result, the team’s owner Sanjiv Goenka allegedly lambasted the captain and expressed his disappointment. Leaving the internet divided.
However, this defeat means that LSG must win their remaining league fixtures against Delhi and Mumbai to have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
