AHMEDABAD: Debutants Gujarat Titans (GT), led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, clinched the much-coveted Indian Premier League trophy on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, after vanquishing Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the final. In a blitzkrieg, GT chased down the target with seven wickets and 11 balls to spare, needing 131 runs to win. Shubman Gill top-scored with an unbeaten 45, while David Miller added a 19-ball 32. Earlier, Hardik Pandya shone with the bat as GT held RR to a score of 130 for nine runs. From his four overs, Pandya scalped three for 17, while R Sai Kishore took two wickets. Jos Buttler led the way for RR with a 35-ball 39. RR had won the toss and opted to bat first.
