NorthEast United FC defeated Jamshedpur FC 2-0 in their Indian Super League  2024-25 match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday. Alaaeddine Ajaraie scored twice, reaching 20 goals this season. As a result, he broke the previous ISL record of 18 goals set by Ferran Corominas (2017-18) and Bartholomew Ogbeche (2021-22), according to ISL officials.

This victory marked NorthEast United FC’s first-ever away win against Jamshedpur FC. Consequently, the team moved to fourth place with 32 points from 21 matches, staying in the playoff race.

NorthEast United started strong. In the sixth minute, Redeem Tlang found Thoi Singh, who quickly crossed into the box. Ajaraie slotted it past Albino Gomes, scoring his record-breaking 19th goal.

Jamshedpur Struggles to Break Defense

Jamshedpur FC responded by attacking aggressively. However, they failed to score. Parthib forced a save from Albino with a well-controlled shot. Meanwhile, Jamshedpur dominated possession but created few chances for Javi Siverio.
