Jamshedpur FC dominated Mohammedan SC with a convincing 2-0 win in the Indian Super League 2024-25 season. The match took place at Kishore Bharati Krirangan on Thursday.From start to finish, they controlled the game, registering eight shots on target compared to Mohammedan SC’s two. As a result, they completed a league double over the home side. This win took their tally to 37 points from 21 matches, just two points behind second-placed FC Goa, who still have a game in hand.
Early Pressure Leads to an Opening Goal
Right from the beginning, Jamshedpur FC showed their attacking intent. In the second minute, Imran Khan surged down the flank and sent a well-placed pass to Jordan Murray outside the box. However, the home side’s defense reacted swiftly and blocked his shot before it could threaten the goal.
Just four minutes later, Jamshedpur FC found the breakthrough. Once again, Imran played a key role, delivering a perfect cross to Murray inside the six-yard box. Although his header was blocked, Javi Hernandez quickly latched onto the loose ball. The crowded defense made it difficult for him to finish, but Ritwik Das reacted decisively and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, giving the visitors an early lead.
Continued Attacks but Missed Opportunities
After taking the lead, Jamshedpur FC continued to apply pressure. In the 25th minute, Javi Siverio showed excellent awareness by heading the ball into Murray’s path inside the box. Despite having a clear chance, Murray failed to keep his shot on target.
