Shortly afterward, FC Goa responded with an aggressive move. Odei Onaindia attempted a left-footed strike, but the defense intercepted it.

In the final minutes, East Bengal continued to push. In the 88th minute, Lal Chungnunga launched a long-range shot from over 35 yards. Impressively, the ball was on target, but Tiwari stood firm and made a confident save. With that, FC Goa maintained their slender lead until the final whistle.

Throughout the game, Brison Fernandes showcased his all-around abilities. He completed 13 of his 18 attempted passes, created three goal-scoring chances, and made four tackles. Most importantly, his goal secured all three points for FC Goa.
