KL Rahul emerged as a key highlight, joining Delhi Capitals for ₹14 crore. The bidding for the star batter was intense, with Kolkata Knight Riders initiating the bid, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, RCB exited at ₹11 crore, paving the way for Delhi Capitals to step in. KKR also withdrew later, leaving the field open for Delhi until Chennai Super Kings entered the race. Despite their late surge, CSK pulled out at ₹14 crore, sealing Rahul’s move to the Capitals. Lucknow Super Giants chose not to use their Right to Match (RTM) option, making Rahul a pivotal addition to Delhi, likely to take on a leadership role in the absence of Rishabh Pant.
In the bowlers’ segment, Shami’s auction began at a base price of ₹2 crore, with KKR and CSK engaging in early bidding. After several rounds, KKR led at ₹9.75 crore before Sunrisers Hyderabad intervened with a successful bid exceeding ₹10 crore. Gujarat Titans opted not to exercise their RTM for Shami.

Punjab eventually acquired him for ₹18 crore. Meanwhile, Siraj became Gujarat Titans’ marquee pick at ₹12.25 crore after overcoming bids from CSK, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
