The International Cricket Council (ICC) has thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for organising the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. Played over four venues, including Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan as well as Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, the competition ran from 19 February to 9 March and was Pakistan’s first worldwide cricket event since 1996.
India’s third Champions Trophy came with a four-wicket win over New Zealand in the final at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

Given the coordination of the competition, Geoff Allardice, chief executive of ICC, noted Pakistan’s Board of Control Management’s hard work.
In an ICC release, Allardice stated, “We want to express our gratitude and warm applause to the Pakistan Cricket Board for their effective organization of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.”
He drew attention to the event’s importance by saying, “Given that this was the first international multi-team cricket tournament held in the nation since 1996, this event was of great relevance for the PCB. Everyone should be very proud of their work in updating the stadiums, getting the playing surfaces ready, distributing the matches, and accommodating the teams and visitors.”
Allardice also thanked the Emirates Cricket Board for arranging five of the games in Dubai and for further strong assistance to the ICC in organizing its major men’s and women’s events.

Allardice commended the eight teams that took part for keeping the competition interesting and congratulated India on their iconic victory.
He said, “Thanks to the eight teams competing for their interesting performance and congratulations to India for clinching a third Champions Trophy title in a memorable final.”
With Pakistan successfully hosting an international event after nearly three decades and Dubai still a major global cricket venue, the Champions Trophy 2025 establishes a robust precedent for next competitions.
