Portugal and Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to express happiness after establishing a new record of scoring the most goals in a single Saudi Pro League season.
Ronaldo netted twice for his team just before halftime and again in the 69th minute, securing a 4-2 victory against Al Ittihad at home on Monday in the Saudi Pro League match. These goals brought Ronaldo’s tally for the current Saudi Pro League season to 35, surpassing the previous record of 34 goals set by Moroccan player Abderrazak Hamdallah during the 2018-19 season.
Ronaldo took to X and wrote, “I do not follow the records, the records follow me.”
