Emulating MSD, Kedar Jadhav Announces Retirement From All Forms Of Cricket

Indian Cricket Player Kedar Jadhav has recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Monday.

Taking to Instagram, he featured memorable moments from his career, which was integrated by sad song ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Mein Guzar Jaate Hai Jo Makam’ in the background. Thus, matching MS Dhoni’s style.

Having played 73 ODIs and 122 T20Is, between November 2014 and February 2020, he also said

“Thank you all for your love and support throughout my career. Consider me retired from all forms of cricket.”

Kedhar Jadav’s Career

Last Appearing for India’s ODI Match against New Zealand, the former cricket player debuted against Sri Lanka under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

After few months, he played ODI against Zimbabwe, finishing his career with 1389 runs with an average of 42.09, which included six half-centuries and two centuries. His retirement comes just days after Dinesh Karthik’s departure.

One of Jadhav’s notable innings occurred in Pune against England, where he scored 120 runs off just 76 balls in a successful chase of 351 runs by India.

Both Jadhav and Kohli registered centuries, building a thrilling 200-run partnership, but Jadhav’s exceptional performance earned him the Player-of-the-Match award. Additionally, he also played a crucial role in India’s 2019 World Cup squad, contributing with a 52-run innings against West Indies.

In IPL, Jadhav made his debut with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and later played for Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. Thus, amassing 1196 runs, with four half-centuries overall in 93 IPL matches.
