The Delhi Capitals extended a warm welcome to the young players of the DC Academy, inviting them to observe their team’s training session ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 match against the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Approximately 300 budding cricketers from the academy had the remarkable opportunity to witness Rishabh Pant & Co. in action up close, as mentioned in the press release by the franchise. They also had the chance to engage with Head Coach Ricky Ponting and Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly.
Additionally, the aspiring players had the privilege to observe David Warner’s elegant stroke play and Jake Fraser-McGurk’s powerful hitting during the practice sessions. The Delhi Capitals Academy, established with the aim of nurturing cricketing talent, boasts centers across India. Yash Dhull and Anuj Rawat, two standout talents from the academy, are currently making their mark in the IPL.
Despite a setback in their previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where they lost by 67 runs, the Delhi-based franchise remains determined. Presently, they occupy the eighth position on the IPL 2024 table with six points, having won three out of eight games.
