Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shared a video of himself enjoying vada pav with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. He posted the clip on Instagram with the caption, “A snack break before we get to work.” In the video, both sit on a bench, relishing the popular Indian snack. The clip ends with the words “Serving soon.”

Later, Gates reflected on his visit to India in a blog post. He wrote, “I came away with new ideas because India is full of smart, ambitious people tackling some of the world’s hardest problems in creative ways.”

Sachin Tendulkar’s Cricket Achievements

Tendulkar, known as the ‘God of Cricket,’ holds several records in international cricket. Notably, he remains the highest run-scorer in both Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Moreover, he is the only cricketer to have scored 100 international centuries.

Born in Maharashtra, he began his international career at a young age. He made his Test debut on November 15, 1989, at just 16 years old. The following month, on December 18, he played his first ODI. Over the course of 664 matches, he accumulated 34,357 runs at an average of 48.52. As a result, he still holds the record for the most runs in international cricket. His 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries remain unbeaten.

In addition, he became the first cricketer to score a double century in ODIs. He also played a record 200 Test matches. In ODIs, he amassed 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83, including 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries. Likewise, in Test cricket, he scored 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78, with 51 centuries and 68 fifties.

World Cup Glory and IPL Success

Furthermore, Tendulkar played a key role in India’s 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup victory. After making his World Cup debut in 1992, he finally achieved his dream of lifting the prestigious trophy.

Additionally, he showcased his talent in the Indian Premier League (IPL). From 2008 to 2013, he played for Mumbai Indians and significantly contributed to their success. Eventually, in 2013, he helped them secure their first IPL title.
