BCCI Wants Mayank Yadav For November’s Australia Test

The Selection Committee of BCCI is now keen on taking Mayank Yadav on board for November’s Australia tests later this year who is known for clocking 150 Kmph consistently this IPL 2024.

Although Yadav continues to recover from his latest injury (which he got during the game with Mumbai Indians), the BCCI selectors still want to observe his case and ensure that he remains fit and available for tour selection.

As a result, the BCCI is all set to place an extensive training programme for this young bowler as they want the player to work on a few aspects before launching him on the international stage.

According to Indian Express, Mayank will now head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru where he’ll undergo medical assessment before giving him to biomechanics experts and fast-bowling coach Troy Cooley.

Through this training, BCCI plans to include him in India’s A team which is likely to tour Australia this June or July before the start of the five-match Test series which will be on November 22nd.

It is also revealed that minor changes will made to his bowling, running mechanics, follow-through and landing.

Elaborating on this, Yadav’s strength and conditioning coach Ramji Srinivasan at MRF Pace foundation said “The most important thing is he has to be pain-free before any formal training begins. He shouldn’t experience pain at any stage of his running. Once that is done, then the focus will shift to biomechanics and bowling.” told Indian express.

All in all, BCCI is in no mood to rush on Mayank’s induction into the team and will, first focus on his training.
