BCCI announces India’s Champions Trophy squad; Rohit to lead, Bumrah’s inclusion depends on fitness.

BCCI revealed the 15-member team for the ICC Champions Trophy as well as the three one-day series against England. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma made the declaration at a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, January 18 during a press conference in Mumbai. Named captain, Rohit Sharma has vice-captain. Depending on his fitness, Jasprit Bumrah has been selected for the Champions Trophy squad; Harshit Rana will act as a cover for Bumrah in the ODI series against England.

Including Bumrah depending on his recovery, the Champions Trophy team has a 14-member squad.

Agarkar mentioned Bumrah‘s inclusion during the press conference and observed that his physical condition would be carefully followed before the Champions trophy. In India’s bowling department, Harshit Rana’s addition for the ODI series gives more depth. The team picks show a balance of youth and experienced hoping for top results in the next competitions.
