The return of South African icon AB de Villiers, who has declared his comeback after a nearly four-year absence, is much awaited by cricket fans worldwide. Known for his explosive and creative cricketing abilities, de Villiers will lead the Game Changers South Africa Champions in the second World Championship of Legends (WCL), a T20 competition for retired and non-contract cricketers. De Villiers said upon considering his return, “Four years ago I quit all cricket since I just wasn’t feeling the inspiration to play anymore. Time has moved on, and my young sons have started the game. Quoted by WCL: “We&’ve been spending more and more time in the garden, so it feels as if some sort of fire has started again.&;amp;’ “Then I am heading back to the nets and the gym, ready for WCL in July.”

De Villiers‘ comeback is delighted among the cricket world for his versatility and fearless hitting. Under de Villiers’ leadership, the Game Changers team, previously including Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs, Dale Steyn, and Imran Tahir, now seems even more promising.
