Continuing the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage initiative, legislator Kuljeet Singh Randhawa flagged off the ninth bus for the holy journey from Ballupur village to Amritsar Sahib-Talwandi Sabo on the auspicious day of Maghi.
He stated that the benevolent program initiated by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for pilgrimage travelers is proving to be highly beneficial. The bus carried 43 pilgrims embarking on a two-day pilgrimage to the Shri Amritsar Sahib-Talwandi Sabo religious circuit. Before boarding the bus, devotees were provided with a blanket, pillow, shawl, and a kit of religious offerings.
MLA Kuljeet Singh Randhawa further explained that other designed religious circuits for this pilgrimage include Shri Anandpur Sahib, Shri Amritsar Sahib, Mata Naina Devi, Shri Anandpur Sahib, Mata Chintpurni, Mata Jwala Devi, Shri Anandpur Sahib Talwandi Sabo, Anandpur Sahib, Salasar Dham, and Khatushyam Dham.
In the first phase, eight buses have been allocated for each assembly constituency, Randhawa said. He emphasized that the application of people-centric policies by CM Bhagwant Mann is a clear perspective for the people of Punjab.
Under the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage plan, travel, meals, and accommodation are provided free of cost, along with various citizen-centric services, such as up to 600 units of free electricity for domestic consumers, job offers based on eligibility, anti-corruption measures, and doorstep delivery of citizen-centric services through the 1076 helpline. Additionally, there are neighborhood clinics for improved healthcare services.
Randhawa highlighted that the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage plan encompasses not only the journey but also free meals and accommodation for the pilgrims.
