Swine flu (H1N1) cases have surged in Haryana this year, particularly in Hisar, where the maximum number of cases has been reported.
In the previous year, only seven positive cases were identified, but within the first 18 days of this year, a notable increase has been witnessed, with a total of 15 positive cases. Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Tarun highlighted that in the preceding year, 289 samples underwent testing, leading to the identification of seven swine flu positive cases. Among these, four patients hailed from Hisar, while three were from other districts.
In the current year, 42 samples have been tested thus far, revealing 15 positive cases.
Out of these, eight cases originated in Hisar, and the remaining seven were from different districts. The rise in swine flu cases underscores the need for heightened vigilance and preventive measures to curb the spread of the virus across the region.
