The Haryana Government has established a special committee dedicated to the Agroha Development Project, with Legislative Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta appointed as the committee’s chairman.
He is set to assume office in Delhi during the first week of March. The Principal Secretary of the State Heritage and Tourism Department issued orders to this effect on Tuesday evening.
State Heritage and Tourism Minister Kanwar Pal, along with Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, have been designated as co-chairmen of the special committee overseeing the Agroha Development Project.
The Vice Chairman role will be assumed by Deepak Singhal, the Administrative Secretary of Heritage and Tourism Department and former Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. The committee’s Member Secretary is the Director of the Archeology and Museum Department, while the District Deputy Commissioner of Hisar has been entrusted with the responsibility of treasurer. Additionally, administrative secretaries from the Finance Department, TCP, and ULB departments of Haryana have been nominated as members of the committee.
