Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta initiated a cleanliness drive for Ghaggar River near Sector-21 Chhath Puja Ghat, as part of the clean water Scheme under Project Amrit by Sant Nirankari Mission. He also volunteered in the campaign.
During the event, Speaker Gupta highlighted the ongoing cleanliness initiative organized by the Panchkula unit of Nirankari Mission, coinciding with the birthday of Baba Hardev Singh Maharaj. Emphasizing Nirankari Mission’s significant role in cleanliness, he praised their efforts in addressing the seven concerns, with a focus on making Panchkula plastic-free for a cleaner, greener appearance.
Commending Nirankari Mission for their substantial contributions, including Ghaggar River cleanup, tree plantation drives, and humanitarian efforts during the pandemic, Speaker Gupta expressed optimism in their continuous public service.
He urged Panchkula residents to refrain from littering in the Ghaggar River and emphasized collective responsibility for its cleanliness.
