US First lady Jill Biden’s ex-husband Bill Stevenson has criticized her for urging President Joe Biden to continue his electoral campaign despite concerns about his performance. Stevenson, who was married to Jill from 1970 to 1975, said she has changed a lot and questioned why she supports Biden so strongly. “The Dr. Jill Biden who I’ve seen on TV in the last five years is not the same person I married or that I recognize in any way,” Stevenson told The Post Saturday.
A staunch Trump supporter, Stevenson is upset with what he calls the “Biden crime family” and said that the incumbent American President often lies. He shared stories from their past, like Biden repeating something Stevenson told him, which Stevenson found strange. Despite supporting Biden in the past, Stevenson now thinks Biden’s mental sharpness has declined over the years.
Stevenson’s criticism comes as people question President Biden’s ability to lead after a poor debate with Trump. His upcoming book “The Bidens: The Early Years” focuses on their early life and avoids recent events. Stevenson is surprised by Jill Biden’s more public defense of her husband compared to her past quieter support.
His comments add to concerns about Biden’s leadership, with some suggesting he should step down. Jill Biden, once in a background role, is now in the middle of a debate about whether her husband is fit for office.
