UAE: Sharjah Reduces Speed Limit On Interlinked Al Ittihad, Al Wahda Roads

The city of Sharjah, UAE announced the speed limit reduction on the section of Al Ittihad and Al Wahda roads from 100km/h to 80km/h on Saturday.

The speed reduction was jointly announced by Sharjah Roads Transportation Authority, and Sharjah Police’s General Command.

However, this reduction is applicable between the interchange near Abu Shaghara on Al Wahda Road to Al Taawun Bridge on Al Ittihad Road.

According to the authority, this decision was implemented to “ensure smooth traffic flow on the roads.”

Earlier in November 2023, the speed limit between Sharjah Dubai border and Dubai’s Al Garhoud Bridge was reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h.
