Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, criticized the job search platform LinkedIn, which is owned by Microsoft. His remarks were prompted by a post from a user named Alex Cohen, who expressed disdain for the platform, stating, “I hate LinkedIn with a passion.”
Musk concurred with the user’s sentiment, commenting, “LinkedIn is so cringe it will make your toenails curl.” This remark generated a flurry of responses from social media users, many of whom agreed with Musk’s assessment.
One user highlighted the contrast between X and LinkedIn, noting that people tend to be more authentic on X. Another criticized LinkedIn for its excessive and irrelevant notifications. Yet another user recommended deleting LinkedIn altogether to reduce spam calls and emails, while another pointed out that some job postings on the platform are not genuine.
Interestingly, reports suggest that Musk is considering introducing a job search feature on X, allowing users to directly explore job opportunities on the platform.
