According to officials, a woman allegedly attacked three Transportation Security Administration officers at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
According to ABC 15, the 19-year-old woman was going through security at checkpoint D in Terminal 4 of the airport when the alleged assault occurred shortly before 6 a.m.
The scuffle injured three officers, and the checkpoint was temporarily closed.
Phoenix police officers arrived on the scene and arrested the woman. It’s unclear what sparked the brawl.
According to officials, two TSA officers were hospitalized as a result of the incident and have since been released. The suspect’s identity, as well as the identities of the two officers, were not revealed.
“This unprovoked and brazen physical attack against our employees is unacceptable. We are grateful for our committed workforce and for the role they play in protecting the traveling public every day,” TSA told ABC 15 in a statement.
