Flydubai aircraft, which caught fire, lands safely in Dubai Airport

A flydubai aircraft that caught fire after a bird struck it before takeoff from Kathmandu successfully landed in Dubai International (DXB) Airport on Monday morning.
When the flight crew realised the engine was running within normal limits, they followed regular operating procedure and carried on with the flight. Flydubai aircraft FZ 576 from Kathmandu Airport (KTM) has safely landed in Dubai International (DXB) at 00:11 local time after encountering a bird strike during takeoff from Kathmandu, according to a statement from a flydubai spokeswoman. When our seasoned flight crew realised the engine was functioning within normal limits, they followed regular operating procedure and carried on with the flight. The aircraft landed normally in Dubai and further inspection will be conducted. The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our passenger’s travel schedule.” According to reports, once the bird hit, the aircraft started fire. The airport dispatched fire trucks.
Sudan Kirati, the minister of tourism for Nepal, also acknowledged that the plane had touched down in Dubai without incident.
All passengers were secure, the ministry said. Officials claimed that following the bird strike, the plane only had one engine.
The Nepalese Civil Aviation Authority stated on Monday that FlyDubai flight number 576, a Boeing 737-800, was now operating normally and was heading to Dubai as planned. Operating at normal levels as of 16:14 UTC (09:59 local time) at the Kathmandu airport.
