As the Gandhi family arrived in Jaipur on Wednesday morning for Sonia Gandhi’s Rajya Sabha nomination, a warm and jubilant welcome awaited them at the airport. Senior Congress leaders, along with state officials, were joined by enthusiastic Youth Congress and NSUI workers, all extending a hearty reception to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul, and Priyanka. He further conveyed confidence in the Congress party’s outstanding performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, envisioning Rahul Gandhi as the future Prime Minister after securing victory.

Sonia Gandhi visited famine-affected areas: Gehlot
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot recently revealed that when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister, Sonia accompanied him on a tour of districts with high tribal populations in Rajasthan. During a severe famine in Rajasthan, Rajiv Gandhi himself drove for three days and visited nine affected districts, with Sonia Gandhi by his side.
Gehlot also mentioned that during his first term, he had to face four severe famines and droughts, and Sonia Gandhi visited the affected districts several times to assess the relief work.
