Hyderabad police said that all the drug peddlers are all from Goa involved in the Sonali Phogat case.
Meanwhile, the main accused involved in the case is still not caught.
“After an inquiry with all the drug consumers in our area, we got to know that their peddlers are Pritish Narayan and Adwin and both of them are from Goa,” stated Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, CV Anand.
“Our team went to Goa and caught Pritish but were unable to arrest Edwin. During the Sonali Phogat case, the Goa Police named Adwin as one of the suspects. We got to know that all the peddlers involved in the case are from Goa only,” Anand said.
Moreover, whenever Hyderabad Police tried to contact Goa Police they did not cooperate with them, CV Anand said on Thursday.
Earlier on Tuesday Sonali Phogat’s daughter, Yashodhara Phogat demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had assured of a CBI investigation into the matter.
However, Sonali Phogat died on 23 August in Goa and was declared dead at the St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa.
Talking about the actor’s fame Phogat contested elections against Kuldeep Bishnoi from Adampur in Haryana during the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019. The popularity of Phogat increased after becoming a Tik-Tok star and a contestant on Bigg Boss.
