Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a lowkey wedding ceremony on Sunday, attended by close friends and family. The couple, who had been dating for seven years, chose to marry on the anniversary of the day they fell in love. Sonakshi and Zaheer shared pictures from the ceremony on Instagram looking stunning in their wedding outfit, delighting their fans.
The couple chose white as the theme for their wedding, with both donning traditional all-white ensembles. Sonakshi looked radiant in a vintage Chikankari saree from her mother’s closet, fulfilling her dream of wearing her mom’s saree on her wedding day. She paired the elegant saree with statement jewelry, including a choker Kundan necklace, gold bangles, Kundan earrings, and her engagement ring. Later in the day, the couple hosted a grand wedding reception for their friends from the film industry. For the reception, Sonakshi embraced tradition by changing into a sindoori red silk saree from Raw Mango. The brocade silk saree, featuring gold embroidery and broad gold patti borders, was draped elegantly in a traditional style and paired with a matching red blouse. She accessorized her look with emerald and gold jewelry, including a choker necklace and earrings, along with her engagement ring and red and gold chooda.
