A solo show by Ram Onkar was organised by Black 7 Art at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The artist used the medium of oil on canvas and watercolor paintings to create his artworks.
Artist Ram Onkar said, ‘I have chosen the medium of oil and acrylic on canvas for the music series. I have also added 3D impressions to it and created the look using brushes on my oil and acrylic canvas. I have displayed a few paintings made with watercolors, and they have an open theme.
Artist Ram Onkar hails from a rural area of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and has been residing in New Delhi for the last two decades. It was the last decade of the twentieth century when he stepped into the realm of art. His initial years as an artist can be seen as a period of experimentation, during which he was learning painting techniques and working on various themes.
Although he was very fond of listening to music while painting, he never had an idea that he would connect with music. Gradually, he became intrigued by showing the subtleties of music in his paintings and fascinated by the magical effects of music. He began to work on a remarkable series of musical ambiance. At present, his works are a comprehensive portrayal of music in all senses.
