Contrary to popular belief, Good Friday is not a joyful occasion. It is a day of mourning because Jesus Christ was crucified on this day. Good Friday, also known as Black Friday and Holy Friday, commemorates the day when Jesus Christ gave his life to atone for the sins of those who believe in him.
