Balcony design ideas to create a magic in your home

When it rains, the outdoors is incredibly pleasant and fresh. During the day, one can cherish the call of nature as warm daylight seeps through wide-open windows, while in the evening a nice breeze really calls for a coffee by the window.
This monsoon, give your balcony space a makeover with elements that are functional and ecological, as well as unique, fresh, and calming furnishings and decorations that encapsulate the mood of the time. Here are some ideas ranging from simple alternatives to intricate spatial modifications that can produce a refreshed setting.

Use waterproof materials:
When it rains, walls typically develop dampness and cracks. This causes stains that impair the aesthetics of ones space. Wall tiles are one way to control the walls from water damage. There are a multitude of unique tiles today, and it could prove a great way to add texture and graphic elements that reflect the colours and textures of monsoon. Any outdoor furniture purchased should be weatherproof. The upholstery of it as well as the metal or wood that’s being used.

Add floral patterns:
Our spacious spaces can be made to appear dreamy and pleasant by adding a hint of floral patterns, soft textures, and textured floors. Add soft rugs, throw pillows, and runners to add charm while fostering a peaceful atmosphere. Include furniture that complements the mood of the weather. A mattress covered in pastel coloured sheets, along with many pillows and warm blankets, can create a special space. Enjoy some time alone or with your family while the rain falls while drinking hot tea or coffee.

Colour theory:
Lean more towards light colour palettes that contain more white, beige, blush pink, mint green, and other colours that refresh our senses. Choose sheer cotton or organza silk materials with lighter-coloured curtains and drapes that enliven your outdoor spaces.

Add pergola:
A pergola with a weatherproof fabric detailing or one covered in vines can provide a nice space to sit out and enjoy the rain in.

Lighting creates a lovely atmosphere:
Lights have a significant impact on lifting the monsoon gloom. Lighting up the dark areas of the house will help to dispel the foggy grey. Use of smaller ornamental lights, lanterns, and floor lamps can be used to illuminate your balcony or patio along with cosy corners of the house. They will not only illuminate but create a welcoming glow to the space.

Add some greenery:
Plants that can withstand monsoon conditions liven up the area and refresh the surroundings. Ferns, marigolds, and begonias are a few examples of plants that can tolerate dampness. A plant with vibrant foliage that gives the muted surroundings a splash of colour is also a great idea.
