Rahul Gandhi’s membership has been cancelled and was recently sentenced to two years in 2019 defamation case by Surat court and Rahul made a controversial remark on India and PM Modi at Cambridge University during his visit to London. In connection with this Union Minister Smriti Irani made a strong attack on Rahul Gandhi and opposition and held a press conference.

During the press conference, Smriti Irani said, “Rahul is defaming the country in anger.” She added “This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi did something like that- we saw it in England. His hatred for Modi has now gone far leading to affect the country.”

Talking about the attempt of Rahul Gandhi to insult PM Modi the minister said that Rahul Gandhi has insulted the entire OBC community to insult PM Modi. When a woman from tribal family became the president, even then Droupadi Murmu was insulted by a congress member on the instructions of the Gandhi family, said Smriti Irani.

Smriti Irani knocked congress while reminding about the past. She added, “If we look at the history of UPA the Gandhi family tried their best to challenge their arrogance to stop the deliverance of Modi, but PM Modi did not stop.”

Further she added, while citing an interview of Rahul Gandhi on 4th May 2019 in a magazine, Rahul Gandhi claimed Narendra Modi’s strength is his image and that he would publicly rip apart, but he did not succeed as PM Modi’s greatest strength is the people of India.

Talking about the supporter of Rahul Gandhi and oppositions supporting Congress on his Disqualification she said, “Are you not able to recognise the capability of the man for whom the congress is trying to gather support?”

Opposition parties who are supporting had marched from the parliament complex to Vijay chowk on Monday against the centre over Adani issue and Rahul Gandhi disqualification.
