Union minister and Amethi’s BJP candidate has attacked AAP over the Delhi high court’s findings regarding corruption allegations against Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Earlier, while dismissing Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in the liquor policy case, the court declared, that the prosecution has made out a “prima facie case” of money laundering against former deputy CM.
Meanwhile, while addressing the press conference, Irani had put forth the court observations saying
“A judgment yesterday regarding Manish Sisodia became public. The Delhi High Court prima facie finds a case of corruption against Manish Sisodia. The court accepts that corruption to the tune of Rs. 100 crores have been committed by Manish Sisodia and all accused in this case.”
She also disclosed, that court acknowledged Sisodia’s attempts in tampering the evidence and intimidate potential witnesses, who were testifying against AAP.
Later, she appealed to citizens, to look up Delhi HC’s observations on Manish Sisodia’s corruption.
“My appeal to citizens is to read these substantial observations about the corruption of Manish Sisodia and the AAP. These so-called political activists entered the corridors of power with a promise of change but ended up becoming nothing but looters of the people’s treasury.” said Smriti Irani at press conference.
Addressing the matter of Swati Maliwal, Irani remarked, that a fact, Arvind Kejriwal campaigns with the assaulter is a proof, of where his loyalties lie.
In addition, she also questioned, that how Arvind Kejriwal can be expected to do justice to anybody? Also remarked, women workers of AAP aren’t safe in CM’s house.
“With the assaulter in the company of Arvind Kejriwal, can you honestly expect him to do justice to anybody? The question is, while a lady was being assaulted in his house, who was present? What was done by Arvind Kejriwal?… AAP is not only corrupt, but its women workers are not safe in their own CM’s house. said Smriti Irani.
