Jannik Sinner, despite acknowledging that winning the Rotterdam title may not be on par with clinching the Australian Open Grand Slam, expressed the significance of his ATP 500 victory, particularly as it propelled him to a career-high ranking of number three in the world.

The Italian, who secured his first major title at Melbourne Park by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final, extended his impressive winning streak in 2024 to 12 matches. In the Rotterdam final, he secured a 7-5 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur, marking his second trophy of the season and surpassing Medvedev in the rankings.
Reflecting on his triumph, Sinner emphasized the importance of every title, regardless of its size. He acknowledged the increased attention that came with being the Australian Open champion but emphasized the dedication he puts into his efforts, resulting in the successful outcome in Rotterdam.

Sinner noted that despite the spotlight on his achievements, he remains focused on continual improvement. As he looks ahead to Indian Wells, he is aware that the competition will reset, and he is already striving to enhance his performance further.
The 22-year-old highlighted the collaborative effort of his team, commending their work in the preceding weeks and during the Rotterdam tournament. Proud of the level of play he displayed throughout the week, Sinner expressed his commitment to continuous improvement, recognizing its utmost importance.

Looking forward, Sinner aims to narrow the gap with world number two and defending Indian Wells champion, Carlos Alcaraz, in the upcoming hardcourt tournament. He reiterated the team’s dedication to improvement and their ability to handle challenging situations, emphasizing the ongoing pursuit of enhancing his game.
