NEW DELHI: On the occasion of World Zoonoses Day, Shruti Haasan has been named as the brand ambassador of WWF India. The actress, who is a youth icon, also appealed to all on this occasion to work towards mending the broken relationship with nature to avoid the next pandemic. She also urged people to conserve and protect nature by taking small steps to spread awareness on the issue of conservation. Shruti is quite outspoken on social issues she believes in. She emphasised, “Environment conservation is the single most important thing that should be in our minds. Our well-being is connected intrinsically to the well-being of our planet.” Shruti will work towards creating a balance between humans and wildlife and supporting co-existence. Here’s wishing her more power as she takes up a social cause.
