Shots were reportedly fired outside the Vancouver residence of singer-rapper AP Dhillon on Monday. A video of the alleged shooting has surfaced and is currently under investigation by local security agencies. A social media post claims that the firing occurred outside Dhillon’s bungalow on Victoria Island, Vancouver.
The social media post, allegedly from Rohit Godara of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claims responsibility for the shooting incidents at two locations on September 1—Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto. The post specifically mentions the Victoria Island house belonging to AP Dhillon, stating, “We came to your house, you should have come out and shown us some action. The underworld life you copy, we are actually living it. Stay in your place or face the consequences.”
The identity of the attackers involved in the firing remains unconfirmed.
The incident follows Dhillon’s recent collaboration with Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt on the song “Old Money,” released on August 3. This collaboration allegedly irked the Bishnoi gang, leading to the attack. AP Dhillon is renowned for his contributions to the Punjabi music industry, with popular tracks like “Brown Munde,” “Excuses,” and “Majhail.”
This is not the first time the Bishnoi gang has been involved in such incidents. In April, shots were fired at Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, with the gang later claiming responsibility. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch is actively investigating these incidents, with the Bishnoi gang frequently targeting Khan due to past grievances, including the actor’s involvement in the Black Buck case.
The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to verify the claims and identify the attackers.
