Mahesh Jethmalani, the legal representative for Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction in the disqualification petitions filed between the two factions of the Shiv Sena, alleged the submission of fraudulent documents by Uddhav Thackeray’s faction. In the hearing before Assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar, Jethmalani claimed that all documents submitted by Uddhav-led Sena against Shinde-led Sena MLAs were fake.
During the session in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, Jethmalani scrutinized Uddhav-led Sena MLA regarding the affidavits and the resolution for the disqualification petition against rebel MLAs. He questioned the authenticity of the resolution passed on June 21 when Shinde and other MLAs rebelled against Uddhav’s leadership. Jethmalani argued that there was no such decision made for the alleged disqualification petition and pointed out differences in the signature of MLA Dilip Lande (Shinde faction).
In response, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Sunil Prabhu, the former chief whip of undivided Sena, rejected all the claims made by Jethmalani.
