Senior leaders of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) convened at the residence of the party’s Patron, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, to voice their strong dissatisfaction over the denial of a ticket to Parminder Singh Dhindsa for the Sangrur Lok Sabha Constituency.
The meeting saw prominent Akali leaders expressing their resentment against the party’s decision, which contradicted assurances made by SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal. Earlier promises made to Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and his associates were also highlighted as unfulfilled commitments during the gathering.
Senior Akali leaders criticized the party’s negligence towards the Sangrur constituency and the failure to honor promises made for the welfare of the Panth and Punjab. It was disclosed that despite prior assurances to consult Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa on seat allocations, he was excluded from the decision-making process.
While several leaders expressed their reluctance to work under these circumstances, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa emphasized the importance of unity and adherence to the core principles of the Shiromani Akali Dal during his address.
