School holidays in Haryana have been extended once again. Schools for classes 1 to 5 in the state will remain closed until January 28, while classes from 6 to 12 will continue as usual.
Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar stated that this decision is due to the ongoing severe cold weather. Classes for children up to class five will resume on January 29.

Previously, the Haryana government adjusted school timings in consideration of the cold weather. Schools will now open at 9:30 in the morning, and classes will be conducted until 3:30 in the afternoon. For double-shift schools, the timings have been modified from 7:55 am to 12:30 noon in the first shift and from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm in the second shift.
The Education Department in Haryana made these changes in response to the harsh cold conditions. Yesterday, all schools dismissed students due to the consecration of Shri Ram Lala.

Schools in Haryana have reopened today after a 22-day break. The government initially announced winter vacation from January 1 to January 15, and later extended holidays for schools up to class 5 until January 20 due to the cold weather. Schools remained closed on the 21st as it was a Sunday, and on January 22, the government declared a holiday for students due to the consecration of Shri Ram Lala. Now, schools are back in session starting today, January 23.
