In the past few days, nearly four audio tapes have surfaced in which the AIADMK party cadres have been calling former party leader V.K. Sasikala. In those recordings, the cadres have been telling her about the woes the party is facing.
In the leaked audio, V.K. Sasikala was heard assuring various party members about her definite return and to meet them all. Sasikala, in one tape, assured “Lawrence, I will definitely come.”
“You are all with me, I don’t have any fear. We will strengthen the party together.”, the other audio reveals.
But from the AIADMK side, top leaders of the party have been telling that there is no space or room for Sasikala anymore. They claim that the speculations are made to create confusion in the party, but at any cost, the party won’t be going after her.
When Sasikala was released from jail in January, she informed that she’d be actively working in politics. She had also traveled in a car that held an AIADMK party flag after she was released.
But later, during the peak of elections, she had announced that she is retiring from active politics and she won’t take part in any party activities or party campaigns.
After DMK achieved massive victory in state assembly elections, AIADMK became the opposition party.
Some of the AIADMK party cadres have claimed that the defeat was because of the lack of proper leadership, and they wanted Sasikala to handle the party once again.
Huge developments might take place in the future, as she ensures (in the recordings) that she will be rejoining the party soon.
